Once you begin on this journey of discovery, you will see how many of your experiences link together in often surprising ways. Connections will be revealed and you can use these to shape your own personal story.
This can open up opportunities to visit older relatives and hear their stories, bringing to life past events that have lain forgotten. A sharing of lives can be a way of drawing families closer, especially in this time of separation when families often live far apart. You may find letters and photographs, which illustrate your story and add yet another dimension to it.
Once you begin on this journey, there are many paths you can take, and my role is to help you to find your way and provide you with some impartial advice when you need it, as well as to celebrate your achievements as you progress.
